A few fab things I’ve found – or had flung my way – lately that are well worth sharing.

GIRLS

I love this show so much that when I left my friend’s house the other night after a girly catch up of red wine and pizza, I literally forced her to download it, leaving her with the remote in her hand and a promise from me that I’d reimburse her the money if she decided she hated it.

Into Series 2 already, this ‘dra-medy’ set in New York follows the life of 20-something aspiring writer Hannah and her friends. Think ‘Sex and The City’ with more realistic bodies, more cringe-worthy fashion moments, much less cheese, but with the same kind of down-deep insights about women. In Australia, it’s on Foxtel Showcase, but if you don’t have that, or to catch up on eps, download on iTunes.

Wish I’d packed these the other night

On Tuesday night I donned a pair of heels to head into the city and chat to 50 clever and funny business women about Fox in Flats on social media. After an hour standing on stage, microphone in hand, my feet were killing me.

And as I walked the streets of Darlinghurst looking for a post-gig cocktail, I lamented to my buddy Christina how I wish I’d packed these in my bag, so I could switch my shoes and be more comfortable.

All natural lip colour

Gunmetal nailpolish

I first spied this gunmetal grey polish on the digits of Marnie, one of the characters in GIRLS. So later that week, I slipped into my local chemist and picked out a similar shade while the boys jumped around impatiently. Can’t seem to move onto another shade now… $7.95 from pricettack.
