Plumper lips, whiter teeth, smoother skin – just a few of the things we dream of having when we look in the mirror. Yet the expense of professional treatments like collagen injections, laser teeth whitening, and exotic beauty creams and potions is out of reach for most of us. And if you’re like me, you’re simply not into pain. A needle in my lips? No thanks.
Instead, pop these low-cost alternatives into your basket next time you’re in the supermarket.
Strawberries and Baking Soda to whiten teeth
Mash the berries together and mix with a little baking soda to form a paste, and brush with the concoction a couple of times a week.
Whole milk for glowing skin
Lactic acid – found in cows’ milk – is great for soothing and softening skin. Mix some in a spray bottle with water and spritz on your face throughout the day.
Peppermint extract for a plumper pout
A couple of dabs on your lips will make them appear more full and plump. You can buy this in a tiny bottle, or if you’ve got the time, make your own by steeping mint leaves with vodka.
