Foxy thoughts from my wallet

By Andrea Michelle

I tore this out of a newspaper over seven years ago, and have carried it in my wallet ever since. It’s now soft and crumpled from age and touch, but remain inspiring words to keep close by. I hope you like them too.

From my wallet inspiration

Do you hold certain words, or turns of phrase close by too? What are they, and where do you keep them?

  • I love that you’ve carried these words with you for so many years. I’ve kept the proposal poem that my now husband wrote (and had made into a wine label) in my wallet since that day. I’ve also adopted a new favourite quote in recent times: “let your faith be bigger than your fear”…

  • Oh Andrea, those words are amazing. Kindness is such an appreciated gift and its free. I love how you have carried them with you since you discovered them.

    My favourite words are,

“You’ve gotta’ dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt.
    Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.”
(And speak from the heart to be heard.) a little addition to the original.

William W. Purkey (even his name is perky!)

  • These words are beautiful!
Mine is the lyrics to the sunscreen song by Baz Luhrmann. The words to this song often pop into my mind and have done for many years. Great advice that we can all relate to in some way.

  • Just perfect. Words that resonate with me so well and I try to adhere to always. I have so many favourite quotes and your words above seem to touch all of them in one paragraph. V x
