Gwyn’s Spring Basics, Foxified: Denim Skirt

If you subscribe to Gwyneth Paltrow’s blog, Goop, you would’ve received an email a week or so ago with her picks for Spring. I’d add almost each and every item to my shopping list – if I were married to a rockstar, had an endless supply of cash, and enjoyed a lifestyle where I could wear heels and silk most days.

Yet the reality for this blogger is slightly different.

So with the help of my buddy A.J., I’ve trawled the ‘net to find the Fox in Flats take on Gwyn’s spring basics. We’ll be sharing them over the next couple of weeks as we ease ourselves into the season.

They’re practical, comfortable, gorgeous, and you don’t have to be an Oscar winner to be able to afford them.

  Actually I spotted a couple online at Country Road that may be better if you’re not a fan of a shorter skirt.

  Just be sure to experiment with the shoes you wear at these longer lengths if you are planning to wear flats. x

I have been coveting that skirt since I saw it. Even tempted to buy on-line when it went on sale on the SM site…but, walking past good old CR last week there was one in the window. I mean EXACTLY the same. When I went to pay for it I said to the sales girl “Man, you’ve saved me about $400 – I nearly bought a Stella McCartney that looks a lot like this one” and she said “Oh yeah, we copy her all the time…” Lucky I wasn’t an under-cover IP lawyer… :-/

Love your witty and clever blog! Great post re affordable Foxified wardrobe. The jacket suggestion is a great idea. There are so many cream/white blazers around…nice to see a more casual style that will work with denim!
