On the weekend I traded the cold and mud on the sidelines of the under-6 rugby team in Sydney, for the warmth and chocolate mud pots at a Bloggers’ conference in Melbourne.
And in between discovering new ideas and inspiration from my fellow computer geeks, I managed to get a few quick shots of some cute style details from some of my fellow ‘mummy bloggers.’
A sparkly rainbow…inside
All of a sudden, a jeans and t-shirt combo becomes a ball of sparkly fun with the addition of a sparkly shrug. I’m all for sequins during the day, and the more colours the better.
And loving the tattoo on Eden’s wrist ‘Know thyself.’
Just wish I knew myself – then maybe I could finally make up my own mind about getting a tattoo.
Eden’s site Edenland is inspiring and funny. And it makes you think.
I suspect she’s sparkly on the inside too.
Pure glamour
She’s glam, she’s soft-spoken, and she reckons:
“A glamorous life isn’t all black and white”.
We had a great chat about whether it’s ever ok to wear tracksuits in public. She tackled the topic (and bravely, Mia Freedman) here, and the Fox in Flats take on The Tracksuit Rule is here.
Her site is a must-read. It’s intelligent and glam. Like her.
What Wonder Woman would wear if she had 7 kids
I’ve always adored Wonder Woman: the leotard, magic lasso, invisible plane, and those boots.
And Naomi from Seven Cherubs was wearing a pair that would have made Wonder Woman green, if she were going through a purple period.
Naomi’s a bit of a Wonder Woman herself, raising seven kids, and writing a lovely blog, Seven Cherubs. She’s creating a truly inspiring ‘Happiness List‘ and has engaged heaps of bloggers from around Australia to contribute. I even got an invitation to write something a few months ago, here ’tis: ‘Clothes that take me to my happy place.’
A statement from The Stylist
Nikki’s an experienced stylist and journalist, and one ripper of a blogger, having won a number of well-deserved national blogging awards this year for her site Styling You.
But on the weekend it was her necklace that deserved an award.
Fox in Flats in heels!
And for the record, I took the rare occasion of being without my kids to not wear flats. Instead, I gave my favourite suede chain boots an outing.
Was pleased to be back in ‘flat-land’ the next day, soaking up the Melbourne sunshine on my bestie’s beachfront balcony before heading home to the family in Sydney.
T’was hard to get around the room to snap everyone (too busy chatting and eating those chocolate pots!). So if you have any shots of bloggers rockin’ their style on the day, please share below!
