Conversely Converse

Two oh-so-different ways of wearing your Converse, seen in the playground and on the street this week.

converse and jeans

Classic in a crisp white T, and skinny blue jeans.

skirt and chucks

Relaxed in a tie dye skirt, slouchy bag, and and chunky bangle.

Proves yet again why Converse were voted second favourite shoe by mums in the Fox In Flats survey on Fashion and Motherhood.

I personally prefer the low tops.. having said that I do not own a pair. I imagine they would be so so comfy especially when you have a toddler to juggle. Mmm may just have to source a pair of these :) Love the classic look, not so sure about the high tops with the skirt.

The jeans and low-tops are a staple for me, but I’ve never even thought about wearing hi-tops with a skirt — but now I’ve seen your photo, I’m going to give it a go. Nice.

I’m with Kim – I prefer low tops, too… though I don’t own any either! My high tops are a bit of a fail safe in my wardrobe – I feel like I can always count on them to transcend trends… year in, year out, they’re never out of style! Though I don’t find the high style very comfortable around my ankles… This year might be the year to invest in a pair of low tops, too.

Conversely (pardon the pun) Kim & Retrobella, I’ve been wearing my low tops to death over the last 2 years – a black and a denim pair – and am thinking 2011 may be the year for some hi tops. Saw some cute pink ones on the weekend;)

  • Since we were kids

I love my converse with no socks paired with shorts, skirts and jeans. Classic look that never goes out of trend

I wear low top converse every single day for work (I’m a full time nanny) – this winter I’ve been rocking an awesome grey velour pair – will probably go for something lemon for spring/summer.  Definitely a low tops girl.
